Australind Junior Soccer Club FAQ Page

Please find below the most commonly asked questions about Registration, Teams and AJSC

What age does my child need to be?

Your child needs to be born in 2013 (i.e. turning 6 in 2019) to be able to play 6's, the same follows for all the other age groups.   The FIFA regulations we play under specifies this ‘year born format’, not ‘school year’ as with some sports.

Younger then 6 in 2019 - keep an eye out here for mini programs.

What are the fees?

The 2019 Fees have not been set yet - for reference the 2018 are below. This will be updated as we approach the registration period.

The 2018 registration fees at Australind Junior Soccer Club are as follows:

SSF Under 6-11s               $170.00

FIFA Under 12-16s            $175.00

If you have difficulties paying there are options available - One of these is Kidsport.  This is a government funded program for eligible players.  Click Here  for eligibility information and application.   AJSC will accept approved and endorsed Kidsport vouchers as payment - get your voucher number and enter it at the checkout to apply the kidsport voucher value.    If Kidsport is not available to you, you can contact the registrar confidentially to discuss other options such as payment plans.

When do I need to register?

Registrations OPEN         Mid Feb

Registrations CLOSE       10th March - 9pm

If you are not registered and paid in full (including submission of Kidsport voucher) by the Closing date time you cannot be guaranteed a place on a team.

Where do we Play?

The AJSC playing fields are located off Leisure Drive on Peter Anderson Drive, Oval 4. This is our home ground.See the Contact Page on this website for Map and Pitch Locations for AJSC and the other clubs we play.

The season ordinarily follows a home and away format, meaning you will be required to travel to other grounds on game days.  It is possible you may need to travel to any or all of the following grounds during the season - Dardanup, Eaton, Harvey, Bunbury (Forrest Park, Hay Park, Soccerdrome), Balingup, Dalyellup.

How do I register to play?

Once registrations for 2018 are open Go to the REGISTRATION page on this website. REgister on this page with AJSC by family - at the end of AJSC registration adn payment you will be taken to the National registration pages (My Football Club). If you have played before you will have an FFA number, you can use the look up number search on the site if you don’t know it.  If you are new, you can request an FFA number online.  Once you have this you can log on and complete the per player registration - complete right through to payment (payment will be zero dollars)   Ensure that you register with Australind Junior Soccer Club and not the Australind Soccer Club who are the senior players.

When do we play?

It is proposed that the 2019 season will commence on the first weekend of term 2. Our governing association, the CCJSA, oversees the fixturing of games and sets the playing times for the various age groups.

All Games are played on Saturdays.  Detailed fixtures are ordinarily available about mid to late April. The club will put a link to the fixtures on our website once they become available. If two teams mutually agree to shift the date or the time of a game – your team Coach or Team Manager will inform you of any such changes; these changes will generally not be reflected in the published fixtures.

What playing uniform do I need to provide?

All players are supplied with a playing shirt, which remains the property of the club. This will need to be returned at the end of the playing season.  Non return of this will result in being requested to pay the price of replacing the shirt and/or restrictions on registrations for the following year.

You will be required to provide your own:Shorts - Royal Blue for 6’s to 17’s –

Through our Online Store or If you want to try on the gear you can visit Intersport Bunbury.

Previous years we have used Plain black for U6’s to U10’s - as these were commonly bought for school as well - however different schools now have different shorts we will be transitioning to royal blue short and sock for all age groups.  As we transition we will still allow the black shorts.  The Whole team must wear the same colour shorts.

Soccer boots – available at various sporting stores and shoe stores in Bunbury and surrounds

Shin Pads – available at various sporting stores and shoe stores in Bunbury and surrounds

Socks – Royal Blueavailable through our Online Store  If you want to try on the gear you can visit Intersport Bunbury.

All 11's to 17's players are all required to wear the correct club Strip, Short and Socks. A referee may request players not wearing the official club colors to leave the field.

How do I find out what team my child is in?

Once teams are allocated your coach will contact you via email or phone to introduce themselves and advise you of the team.  Please contact the registrar if you do not hear from AJSC or your coach by the 18th of April.

Where and when will we train?

Your coach will contact you and advise you about training days, times and venues.  All our coaches are volunteers who donate countless hours of their valuable time to their teams on training and game days.  Regrettably, times or venues chosen may not always be suitable or clash for some parents/guardians however coaches set these times around their work, family and other commitments. Please advise your coach if attending training is an issue for you.

What age group will my girls be playing in?

CCJSA intends to run a competition for all girls.  In 2018 the three age groups were 10's 12's and 15's.  The Final age groups for 2019 are currently being reviewed.  Please advise by email registrar@ajsc.org.au if your child wishes to play in a mixed team rather than a girls only division.

Is the Competition Graded?

Yes.  Intention is the 11s through to 17s age groups will have an A and B division.  It is our intention at this stage to grade more by teams then individual player in 11's through 15's teams together and place them A or B division in consultation with the coach, coaching sub committee and positioning on ladder at end of season 2018.  The 17's will be graded by trial and placed into A and B teams as individuals.  The graded competition is dependent on a number factors including the amount of teams put in by other clubs -something that unfortunately AJSC cannot control.  Some of this won't be known until after registrations.

How do you find out what is going in the club?

Whilst this information is distributed to coaches and team managers we understand that some players may miss out on information for varying reasons.  The new registration process comes with many tools to allow the clubs to bulk email and SMS players and parents.

As AJSC is a large club (400+ players each year) we rely on email as primary form of direct communication to players and teams and Facebook for event reminders etc. Please make sure you email address is correct when you register.

You can come back to this website www.ajsc.org.au to keep up to date with the latest club information or you can like our page on Facebook, which is also regularly updated with information.

What if soccer is not right for my child?

AJSC is keen for all children to “have a go”. If your child decides soccer is not right for them, you will be partly refunded up until your child has played their 3rd game. As AJSC employees a paid administrator to to manage club operations there will be an administrative cost of $50.00 deducted from the initial registration fee. After the three week trial period any monies paid are non-refundable.

Leschenault Sporting Association (LSA) and Adult Members of AJSC

The LSA has been formed with the express purpose of operating the new Pavilion for the benefit of the Associated Clubs.  AJSC is an associated club.  Being a member of AJSC does not automically grant you membership to the LSA however there is a discount rate for all members of AJSC.     Under AJSC constitution all parents and guardians of registered players are automatically members of the AJSC.  We use the emergency contacts section when you register to record this membership.  Please ensure that you update this section so that you can clearly be identified to the LSA as a member of AJSC and obtain any discounts or privileges that you are eligible for.

This year we will offer the ability to become a member of LSA or to renew your membership during registration process.

LSA is fully open for business and looking for members - we want you to join and take advantage of the family friendly atmosphere and reasonable priced meals.  Visit the LSA Facebook  page for more information.
